Illustrating Collaboration Networks with D3

You can find the code on GitHub. Below I show an example, which was created with this python script. It shows some of the publications written by Rosalind Franklin. Input is a BibTex file.

You can drag the nodes around and also double-click them to get a link to the scientist or the paper. If there is no url for the scientist or research paper you will be directed to a google search.

There is also another version without ego node and one without photos but tooltips here. A larger collaboration network from my research group OPIG is here.
